Housekeeping data belongs in your quality program.

The monthly report

One structure, every account, every month.

Every account produces a monthly report in a consistent structure, so the facility can compare month to month and roll it into the quality program.

  • Project summary — what was targeted this period and why
  • Project progress — what was actually done against each item
  • Monthly performance — the operational detail: rounds performed, deep cleans completed, floor care milestones, linen recovered, dispensers repaired, waste reduced, equipment serviced
  • Findings and corrections — audit results, recurring issues, retraining delivered
  • Upcoming projects — what is scheduled next period, with dates

Beyond the report

What happens between reports.

  • Daily manager rounds, weekly leadership rounds, monthly scored audits
  • Audits alternating between standard hours and off-hours
  • Resident and family satisfaction rounds on environmental services
  • Recurring findings escalated as process problems with a documented corrective action
  • Annual review of the whole program against how the building has changed

Continuous improvement, specifically

The improvements that actually move a department are unglamorous.

Installing proper dispensers so chemical stops being poured by hand. Locking storage rooms so consumables stop disappearing. Rebuilding a schedule around the needs of the building rather than the preferences of the roster. Rounding with nursing to recover linen instead of reordering it. Each one is small; together they are the difference between a department that is expensive and one that is controlled.

That work goes in the report too, because you are paying for it.

Start here

Tell us what your facility needs.

We walk the facility with your administrator, director of nursing or environmental services director, review the current scope, the linen position, the condition of the floors and the state of the documentation, and put the whole scope in writing.
