Built for healthcare. Not adapted to it.
Environmental services is all we do, and we do it in one kind of building.

The category
Most environmental services contractors are cleaning companies with a healthcare division.
They price by the square foot, staff from a shared labor pool, and bring a commercial janitorial program into a building where the floor is a fall risk, the linen is a regulated item and the room is somebody's home.
Healthcare housekeeping is a separate discipline. Isolation rooms. Discharge and terminal cleaning. Contact times on EPA-registered hospital disinfectants that only work if the surface stays wet for the full dwell. Soiled linen handled under the OSHA bloodborne pathogens standard. Par levels that stop a unit from hoarding linen in a closet while the laundry runs short. Pest sightings logged and escalated the same day, because the log is the first thing a surveyor asks for.
We built the company around that discipline and we do not sell anything else.
The model
A department, not a vendor.
A vendor delivers a service and sends an invoice. A department sits in the QAPI meeting with data. It walks the building with the director of nursing before the annual survey. It retrains the aide who pushed a soiled cart down a clean corridor, on the day it happened, and documents the retraining. It produces the log when the surveyor asks, without anyone having to go looking.
That is why our agreements are structured around labor, leadership and systems rather than a price per square foot.

From the founder
Why this company exists.
I've spent my career building service businesses that clients rely on every day. Before Prestige, I founded GBC Facility Services in Toronto Canada and grew it into a multi-market company with more than 350 employees. GBC serves commercial, multi-residential, and institutional clients in Canada and USA. That work taught me that a service company is only as good as its management, its training, and its consistency on the worst day of the month, not the best.
Prestige applies that experience to healthcare, where the standard is higher. We provide daily housekeeping and laundry to skilled nursing, assisted living, and hospitals, covering both facility linen and resident personal laundry. Our scope includes regulated medical waste and sharps handling. In hospitals, it also includes OR turnover, sterile processing areas, and high-consequence isolation.
In these buildings, housekeeping is part of infection control and part of survey readiness. We run it that way. Every facility has a dedicated housekeeping manager. Our staff are background checked before their first shift. We hold in-services and infection and disease control training. Documentation is completed at the point of work and kept on site, so the records are there when a surveyor or inspector asks for them.

Four commitments
What we are willing to put in writing.
- 01
We walk the facility before we price it.
Bed count is not scope. We walk the units, the laundry, the storage rooms, the loading area and the exterior, count your linen and look at your floors before we put a number on paper.
- 02
A manager on site, not a manager on call.
Every facility gets a dedicated housekeeping manager. Supervision is the difference between a schedule that exists and a schedule that runs.
- 03
Everything is documented, and the documentation is yours.
Room-level cleaning records, linen inventories, pest logs, laundry logs, in-service sign-ins, floor care schedules. Current at the facility, summarized to you monthly, and available the day a surveyor walks in. If our contract ends, the records stay with the building.
- 04
Nobody works in your facility unscreened or untrained.
Level 2 background screening cleared before the first shift. Orientation and in-service completed, tested and documented before the first shift. Neither is done provisionally and neither is caught up later.
People
Turnover is the root cause of almost every environmental finding.
A housekeeper who will be gone in six weeks does not learn which resident wants the blinds left open, does not notice that a baseboard has been wet three days running, and has no reason to care that a cart was left unattended.
Our staff are direct employees with a defined shift, a named manager, a training path and somewhere to go. Housekeeper to team lead. Team lead to floor technician or laundry lead. Lead to housekeeping manager.

Tell us what your facility needs.
We walk the facility with your administrator, director of nursing or environmental services director, review the current scope, the linen position, the condition of the floors and the state of the documentation, and put the whole scope in writing.
