Infection prevention is the method, not a module.
Environmental services is one of the primary ways a facility
controls transmission. We treat it that way.

Contact time
The most common failure in the industry is a surface wiped dry too early.
Every EPA-registered hospital disinfectant carries a label contact time — the period the surface must remain visibly wet for the product to do what its registration claims. It is frequently longer than the time it takes to wipe a rail and move on.
Our staff are trained on the products in your building, at the dilution your building uses, with the contact time on that label. Product is applied and left. It is the least glamorous discipline in the job and the one that determines whether disinfection actually occurred.
The protocol
Eleven rules that do not bend.
- EPA-registered hospital disinfectants used strictly per label — dilution, application and contact time
- High-touch surface protocol — bed rails, call bells, over-bed tables, grab bars, switches, handles, remotes
- Clean-to-dirty and high-to-low sequencing
- Color-coded microfiber, so a bathroom cloth never reaches a resident surface
- One set of cloths per room; no re-dipping into a shared bucket
- Cart discipline — never unattended, chemicals secured, clean and soiled separated
- Isolation room cleaning to the facility's protocol by precaution type, with PPE donned and doffed in sequence
- Terminal cleaning on discharge from an isolation room, including soft surfaces and curtains
- Hand hygiene at defined points, including between rooms
- Soiled linen bagged at the point of use and handled under the bloodborne pathogens standard
- Blood and body fluid spill response to the facility's protocol
Alignment with the facility
Your infection preventionist
owns the protocol.
We execute it.
We do not bring a competing protocol into your building. Your infection preventionist owns the protocol; we train to it, execute it, document it, and flag when what is written no longer matches what the building actually does.
Where a facility does not have a written environmental cleaning protocol, we will help build one and hand it to you. It remains yours.

Start here
Tell us what your facility needs.
We walk the facility with your administrator, director of nursing or environmental services director, review the current scope, the linen position, the condition of the floors and the state of the documentation, and put the whole scope in writing.
